Get Hench - Case Study

GET HENCH Competes for £100,000 on Sky 1’s The Angel

Enterprise Enfield client, Ade Adeyeba, owner of Tottenham based urban sports clothing brand, GET HENCH™, has been selected to appear on Sky 1’s new programme, The Angel, on Tuesday 24th of July at 8pm. He made it through a number of tough selections to become one of five hopefuls competing for £100,000 worth of investment to make their business dreams come true.

Scrutinising the entrepreneurs’ on the programme will be “The Angel” - billionaire investor, John Caudwell, from Stoke-on-Trent, who transformed twenty six mobile phones worth £1,350 each into a £2 billion pound business. Caudwell Group, best known for the high street chain Phones4U, was named the UK’s fastest growing company and by 2000 their annual turnover exceeded £1billion. The five contestants will be put under extreme pressure throughout a series of rounds, specifically designed to test The Angel’s six golden business attributes; drive, ambition, passion, resilience, commercial intellect and leadership.

The brand’s ethos is to help people satisfy their craving for attention and to help get them noticed by giving them clothing with attention grabbing slogans. They have a huge following amongst men and women who regularly visit the gym or health and fitness centres. Their current clothing line (vests, t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies) is ideal for health and fitness fanatics who are body conscious and require clothing they can wear whilst working out or in a social environment. The company is growing fast and, with the help of Enterprise Enfield’s SFEDI Business Adviser Liz Gjoni on the Gateway to Finance Programme, has just successfully secured a £10k loan from the North London Credit Union - specifically to fund website development and online marketing. Through the European Funded programme Ade accessed free advice and hands-on support through the whole process of raising finance including business planning, financial forecasts and introductions to lenders.
